Photoshoot
I put together a photoshoot to exhibit individualism within style. Each of the models were asked to bring their favourite 10 pieces of clothing from their own wardrobes so I could shoot all the possible alternative ways to style them. The idea was to illustrate the magnitude of possibilities that are available to even just a small selection of garments. It also helps to contextualise the idea of how important our own personal style is when steering away from trend. Both models were able to pull off a whole range of different moods from classy to sassy, by alternating just one piece of clothing! Additionally, both girls were able to keep on the same pair of shoes for each diverse look.
The shoot was styled very raw and natural using people from the community around the local area to help suggest the attainability of the concept and allowing it to be a contemporary reality.
If we are confident in our own style then each look becomes fierce, allowing us to cut back in consumption and teach ourselves to feel the same excitement for a piece of clothing every time we wear it, not just the first. Fashion doesn't always mean consumption of the latest trend.
