the social distancing art project

Due to our current situation, Art schools across the nation have been forced to close down leaving final year students feeling letdown and unsure about what lies ahead in our futures. In a year that was supposed to be filled with excitement and opportunity, the only feelings we are left with are self-doubt and fear of what lies ahead.
From restricted workshop and studio access to working with what you have lying around at home, us final year students now have to prepare to move into the real world with our ill prepared portfolios and minimum industry contact to an economy which is now faced with its biggest ever recession in history.
However, due to the cancelation of the final year degree show, four students have taken it upon themselves to create a website and an instagram  as a platform to exhibit work that might have been displayed. The idea is that you submit your work through email and they will post it to either of the platforms where it will be promoted/recognised by likeminded people who can appreciate your hard work at this difficult time. These platforms will be viewed by a range of people, from professionals to students and even curious parents. An excellent idea to keep good spirits alive and celebrate what we have achieved in a very social distant way.

Check out the pages for yourself and even submit your work!
